On October 23rd, Artist's Day is celebrated in commemoration of the day Santiago Rusiñol arrived in Sitges, on October 23rd, 1891. That casual visit changed the cultural history of the town, marked the Modernist movement, and profoundly influenced Rusiñol's own work. El Cau Ferrat, as the artist's house-workshop, became the Temple of Modernism and the perfect stage to showcase his works and collections.

During this visit, we will explore the Cau Ferrat Museum through the life and work of Santiago Rusiñol, focusing on his figure as a total artist: painter, writer, collector, traveler, and cultural agitator.
