It is 1961. Pau Casals offers a concert at the White House, invited by President Kennedy. Since exile, Casals has maintained his crusade in favor of peace in the world and the return of democracy to Spain. Kennedy is the great hope to prevent the cold war from erupting into a real war of unattainable consequences. Casals and Kennedy admire each other, but they have very different ideas. The world hangs by a thread, and the scissors to cut it are in very few hands.
