Exhibition: 'Instants que perduren' by Josep Maria Peñalver
Josep Maria Peñalver became interested in the world of photography as a teenager, and took the first steps with a Kodak Portait Brownie and a modest laboratory at home. What was a hobby soon became a profession, and for almost half a century Peñalver wore a camera around his neck, whether for editorial commissions, architectural and film photography, or for portraits of people, interiors and landscapes. Once he had disappeared, his wife, Mercè Casadellà Rubiés, and the photographic section of the Grup d'Estudis Sitgetans, of which she was part, proposed to dedicate to him (and to dedicate to us, all the people of Sitges) a retrospective that now it finally comes true.
