The Sitges Town Council’s Department of Tourism has launched a second inspirational video as part of its “Don't Cancel, Postpone” campaign. This time with the slogan "Sitges Anytime - a Motion Picture Perfect Sitges" to reinforce Sitges’ presence in different channels and priority and near-home markets, such as the national, Andorran and Southern France markets, and to generate knowledge and brand awareness of a destination that is preparing to resume its normal activity with more strength than ever. The ultimate goal is to curb cancellations and kick-start tourism as soon as possible.

The video is closely related to the content in the blog on Sitges Tourism’s official website www.sitgesanytime.com, which in its post from this past Easter reached out to invite users to get to know a motion picture perfect Sitges through different shoots, whether advertising or movies, which have been filmed at different points in time in this destination. The streets and beaches of Sitges have been a natural set for shooting films, commercials and music videos since the 1960s. Building on this resource, the new video shows the most spectacular images of Sitges that can be seen in commercials for famous brands of soft drinks, snacks and other beverages, among others.

These are just some of the most recent actions that, in light of the existing circumstances, the Sitges Town Council’s Department of Tourism has taken to rethink the initial 2020 action plan and it has refocused its promotional strategy, both as a holiday destination and for specific programs, including the Sitges Convention Bureau.

The video is available for the local tourism business community to use for their promotional activities.
