The Festival Dona-Art en femení will celebrate its 5 years of history with a proposal full of strength and consolidated for creation in the key of women in the different artistic arts. The program will offer a wide range of proposals, all led by women.

The first names confirmed for this year's poster were announced on May 17 in the Jofre Vilà function hall of the Casino Prado Suburense. The program includes performances of music, dance, theatre, audiovisual, monologues, literature and two competitions that repeat edition after the good reception of 2022.

In the coming weeks, the organization will reveal all the details of the shows and those assemblies that still remain to be revealed from the V edition of the Festival Dona-Art en femení.

Previously, the contest will warm up engines on August 29 with Glòria de Castro and the presentation of her book "The instant before the impact".

The Festival Dona-Art en Femení is organized by Casino Prado with the collaboration of Sitges City Council.

The 2023 poster for the Festival Dona - Art en Femení is the work of the Sitget artist Anna Sella. The creator wants to represent the individual female strength that transforms into a collective one. Anna Sella describes that she was inspired by the Hindu mythology of the goddess Kali and the dance of a thousand hands - a Chinese legend of the goddess Guan Yin.

2nd edition of the Women's Gastronomy and Femifilms Contests

In this 5th edition, the Gastronomy for Women and Femifilms contests, which premiered last year, will be called again.

•  Gastronomy in women, organized by the Casino Prado Suburense together with the Gremi d'Hostaleria de Sitges, aims to recognize the role of women in Sitges gastronomy. In this second edition, the competition will have a seasonal tasting format and will be held from September 1 to 17. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 7 September as part of a gala.
• Femifilms from the hand of Metges del món, scannerFM and the Casino Prado is the competition for short films with a female theme that has already received 1,000 short films in competition. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, September 6.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 19, at 12 p.m. on the Casino Prado Suburense website www.casinoprado.cat. This year discounts can be obtained from the purchase of 3 different shows with 10% or 15% if the purchase is 5 different shows.
