On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso, Museus de Sitges has programmed a set of activities, which emphasize the artist's ties to Sitges and his relationship with Santiago Rusiñol, one of the artists who he portrayed in his first era. An exhibition, a route, conferences, workshops and other socio-cultural proposals make up the entire programme, which will take place between June and September.

The main proposal of the commemoration is the exhibition Rusiñol seen by Picasso, organized by Museu de Sitges, with the collaboration of the Museu Picasso de Barcelona. Coordinated by Ignasi Domènech, it presents 29 works (including facsimiles). Nine of the original works come from the collection of the Museu Picasso.

The exhibition will open on Friday, June 2 and can be visited until September 24 at the Maricel Museum.
