The Poble Sec neighborhood began its festival program this Saturday, which will last until Sunday June 25. Both the festival and the day of San Juan will be the days with the greatest festive activity.

The parish of San Juan hosts the first act of the Poble Sec festivities, this Saturday at 12 noon, with the concert "Portem Queer al cor" with the Coral Levare de Sitges and Sant Pere de Ribes, Coral La Lira de Viladecans and the Galileo Queer band.

At night, starting at 9:30 p.m., there will be a popular dinner with tomato bread in Plaza de Catalunya.

Immediately afterwards, there will be the presentation of the heiress and the heir of Poble Sec 2023 and music with DJ's until 3 in the morning.

Tickets for the popular dinner can be purchased at the Mauricio Charcuterie or the Calderón Pastry Shop, until Saturday morning, at a price of 6 or 7 euros.

The bulk of the party in Poble Sec continues to be around San Joan. On Friday, June 23, at 2:00 p.m., the 12 mortars will be launched from Plaza de Catalunya. At 11 pm at night, the festival of San Juan will begin, also in the Plaza de Catalunya, and will last until 5 in the morning.

The day of San Juan will begin with the celebration of the Eucharist in honor of the patron Sant Joan Baptista, at the Hospital de Sant Joan Baptista. At 11 a.m., the Poble Sec Commission, authorities, heirs and heirs will attend the solemn Eucharist. At 12 noon, the sardanas will begin at the Hospital de Sant Joan Baptista and at 10 pm there will be the Cantada de habaneras in the Joan Duran i Ferret square. Finally, there will be a final firecracker at 12 at night.

To culminate the party, Plaza de Catalunya will host a Children's Party on Sunday June 25 at 12 noon.
