Sitges hosts a passage of terror from 5 to 29 October

An experiential space created by students from 45 vocational training courses under the supervision of the Directorate General for Vocational Training of the Catalan Government's Department of Education.

From 5 to 29 October, the Miramar-Centre Cultural will be transformed from 5 to 29 October into a passage of terror, under the name of "Rodatge maleït": a passage of terror at the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.

The Directorate General for Vocational Training of the Catalan Government's Department of Education, along with a thousand students from 45 vocational training, plastic arts and design and performing arts courses, is organising this experiential space, with the collaboration of the Sitges Town Council's Department of Economic Promotion.

The passage of terror is free and will be open from the 5th to the 15th coinciding with the festival and will also be open on the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th and 29th of October from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm and from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The public will be able to obtain tickets online by filling in the booking form in advance, and will also be able to queue without booking at the Miramar-Centre Cultural.

The initiative is open to both fans of the genre and curious people who want to live a unique experience.

The passage of terror will be set in an old abandoned film studio, where visitors will experience terrifying situations, with the intention of seeking a connection with the world of cinema and with the theme of the festival. This immersive space will allow participants to take a tour while they are surprised by various montages and actors, who will make them live moments of fear and will have to escape to outer space to leave this nightmare behind.

Passage of Terror, an innovative project designed by students

Under the guidelines of a design company, the students involved have been in charge of the tasks necessary to set up the space, such as assembly, decoration, furniture, special effects, costumes, hairdressing, make-up, signage, audiovisuals, sound, the council, as well as the actors and actresses.

This project, devised by Creartiva, promotes new technologies and content related to the digital universe, through activities and experiences that offer students training and professional opportunities related to the film sector.

The Department of Education has organised this event with the collaboration of the schools, the support of the Sitges Town Council and the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.
