The town’s three caramelles groups are fine tuning their repertoires in the final rehearsals to get everything ready to celebrate Easter. These characteristic Easter choral formations, which in Sitges correspond to the groups of Retiro, El Prado and the Caramelles Sitgetanes, have a full agenda with performances scheduled in homes, commercial and hospitality establishments. They will also be taking part in more traditional gatherings where we can see and hear all three together.  

The first of these gatherings is on Saturday, 4 April, from between 10.30 pm and 11 pm in Plaça de l’Ajuntament. That same night, the three formations will also be performing at the church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla, once the Easter Vigil concludes around 11.45 pm.

The three will be sharing a space again at the Hospital de Sant Joan Baptista on Monday, 6 April, in the afternoon. These will be the only scheduled occasions when we can see the three groups in the same place, as the rest of the day on Monday they will be performing individually at houses, commercial and hospitality establishments.

Performances by the three groups

• Saturday, 4 April. As from 10.30 pm, all three groups in Plaça de l’Ajuntament. The three groups will then sing again at the parish church.
• Monday, 6 April. From 4.30 pm, at the Hospital de Sant Joan Baptista.
