Sitges will be at the heart of the jazz world from 23 to 29 March

The 13th edition of Jazz Antic Sitges will be taking place from 23 to 29 March. L’Escorxador – Centre d’Arts Vives will once again be the main venue for a festival involving streets, squares, establishments and other unique Sitges spots

The 13th edition of Jazz Antic Sitges will feature over twenty jazz concerts from 23 to 29 March. The festival’s lineup and poster were unveiled this Tuesday, 17 March, at the Malvasia Interpretation Centre (CIM) in an event with the city councillor for culture, Albert Oliver-Rodés, and the festival’s artistic director, Joan Pinós.

The 13th edition of Jazz Antic Sitges is part of the La Pregonera 2026 programme organised by the Councillor’s Office for Culture at Sitges City Council.

L’Escorxador – Centre d’Arts Vives will be the main venue for most of the concerts. Other spaces such as El Prado, El Retiro, and squares and streets throughout Sitges, as well as local establishments, will also be hosting concerts and musical performances.

Programme highlights

The main event at the festival is its traditional parade. This year it will be taking place on 28 March at 6.30 p.m., starting at the Mercat Vell and winding its way through the town in one of the highlights of Sitges’s jazz week. Musicians and audience members alike will mix and mingle in streets and squares as part of an open, interactive celebration that perfectly sums up what the festival is all about.

In this latest edition, the festival is also teaming up with other jazz festivals in Catalonia. The first collaboration is with the Festival Hospijazz in L’Hospitalet de l’Infant, created this 2026, and the result is a concert by the Windy Coast Jazz Band, a group that recreates the traditional style of New Orleans, on Saturday 28 March at 12 noon at l’Escorxador. The other collaboration is with the Festival Internacional Dixieland de Tarragona. With over thirty years under its belt, it has become a leading event that brings together traditional jazz musicians from all over Catalonia. One of the mainstays of its lineup is the Stromboli Jazz Band, which will give a concert on Sunday 29 March at 12 noon at l’Escorxador.

The rest of the lineup includes informal shows at the Jam Sessions, band concerts with national and international artists, the traditional Jazz Manouche, which pays tribute to the first genuinely European jazz style, and the Big Bands meetup in the Miramar – Centre Cultural courtyard on Saturday 28 March at 4 p.m.

The 13th edition of Jazz Antic Sitges has been organised in collaboration with the Casino Prado Suburense, the Malvasia Interpretation Centre, Ràdio Sitges and the Societat Recreativa El Retiro.

Although most performances are open to all, with limited space, others require tickets, which can be purchased online or in person at the Sitges Tourism Office, the Visitor Centre in Can Milà or the venues’ box offices an hour before the show.

La Pregonera shows offer several discounts for tickets: advance sales (15% off), library cardholders (15%), children under 11 (60%), Carnet Jove cardholders (50%), Carnet Blau + cardholders (40%) and Carnet Blau S cardholders (100%). Discounts cannot be combined.
