To mark the 90th anniversary of the assassination of Federico García Lorca and the 50th anniversary of the Prado Tribute , which will be celebrated next year, the LGBTIQ+ Memory Working Group of Colors Sitges Link presents a unique experience to rediscover the poet's legacy in our town.
Sitges was one of the places Lorca visited, accompanied by Salvador Dalí and other young Catalan poets associated with the magazine L’Amic de les Arts (1926–1929). Using documents, photographs, and testimonies, we have reconstructed his time in the town and the tributes paid to him over the years.
The guided tour takes you through emblematic spaces in Sitges that evoke his presence and inspiration, and includes a 60-page color fanzine with texts, images and reflections on his relationship with Sitges, freedom and dissent.
