The multimillionaire Charles Deering built the Maricel Palace to house his collection of Hispanic art, including works by Goya, El Greco, and Zurbarán. This exhibition reconstructs the absence of Catalan and Spanish artists from the early twentieth century through the Banc Sabadell Collection. Ramon Casas, Rusiñol, Mir, and Anglada-Camarasa once again occupy the walls of Maricel, engaging in dialogue with historical images that evoke the monument’s former splendor
