Feast of Saint Sebastian

From January 20 to 28

Celebration of the religious feast in honor of Saint Sebastian, martyr, with chants, hymns, novenas, and the ringing of bells.

 

January 20
Feast of Saint Sebastian, Martyr

  • 10:00 a.m. – The hermitage will remain open for the prayer of the faithful (sale of candles and souvenirs).
  • 10:30 a.m. – Ringing of the bells “Sebastiana” and “Enriqueta.”
  • 11:00 a.m. – Solemn Mass in honor of Saint Sebastian, Martyr (afterwards, a popular refreshment in the square).
  • 4:45 p.m. – Ringing of bells.
  • 5:00 p.m. – First day of the Novena and singing of the Hymns in honor of Saint Sebastian, Martyr.

 

From January 21 to 23

  • 4:45 p.m. – Ringing of bells.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Recitation of the Rosary and the Novena, and singing of the Hymns.

 

January 24

  • 11:00 a.m. – The hermitage will remain open for the prayer of the faithful.
  • 4:45 p.m. – Ringing of bells.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Recitation of the Pastoral Rosary by the Sitges master Manel Torrents, performed by the Cor d’Amics de l’Orgue choir.

 

January 25

  • 11:00 a.m. – The hermitage will remain open for the prayer of the faithful.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Saint Sebastian Gathering. Sardana music performance and dance by the Cobla Sitgetana.
  • 4:45 p.m. – Ringing of bells.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Recitation of the Rosary and the Novena, and singing of the Hymns (followed by a guitar concert).

 

From January 25 to 28

  • 4:45 p.m. – Ringing of bells.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Recitation of the Rosary and the Novena, and singing of the Hymns.
