Buses replacing the train service will depart from Parc de Can Robert starting tomorrow
Sitges is getting ready for a shut-down in the train service between 1 and 4 May, when they will stop running between Vilanova i la Geltrú and El Prat de Llobregat due to construction on the entrance to the airport. The train company Renfe will offer an alternative bus service which will connect Sitges to El Prat every 15 minutes, departing from and arriving at Parc de Can Robert. After getting off the bus in El Prat, passengers can continue their journey to Barcelona on train. To get back to Sitges from Barcelona, take the train and get off at El Prat, where buses will leave for Sitges every 15 minutes. Train users from Garraf will have a microbus that will leave them at the Castelldefels station, where they can take a bus to El Prat. To return to the town of Garraf from Barcelona, take the bus from El Prat station to Castelldefels and then the microbus to Garraf.
The alternative service vehicles will park on Passeig de Vilafranca, just behind the interurban buses. This will mean that they will occupy the blue zone between the interurban buses and Camí dels Capellans, an area with signs where information staff will be on hand to answer questions.
