Sitges backs local talent with a new edition of the Imprescindibles cycle
Organised by the Councillor’s Office for Culture at Sitges Town Council and with the collaboration of the Festival Terramar CaixaBank and Ràdio Sitges, the cycle presents twelve acts at the Village Stage of the Festival Terramar CaixaBank, every afternoon from 31 July to 12 August, as from 8 pm.
The programme was presented in a ceremony at the Patronat de Sitges on Wednesday, 1 July, at 7.30 pm. Speaking at the ceremony were the Mayor of Sitges, Aurora Carbonell; the Councillor for Culture, Albert Oliver-Rodés, and the coordinator of the Imprescindibles 2026 cycle, Núria Escarp.
The ceremony was opened by the Councillor for Culture, with the coordinator then announcing the artists in the line-up for the Imprescindibles 2026 cycle and explaining the changes for this year’s event. The Mayor of Sitges concluded the presentation, and finally the DJs of Ràdio Sitges closed out the session with some music.
The cycle consists of twelve acts: one neoclassical and contemporary choreography; one dance show; rap sessions; a singer-songwriter and pop concert; a performance by a duo of boleros, bossa nova and Latin music; a live presentation of alternative music; an indie pop concert; an alternative pop/rock concert; a pop and soul display by a duo; a funk, groove and jazz concert by an instrumental trio; a reggaeton concert and a pop and ballade musical performance.
The doors at the Village Stage open at 8 pm, when the Ràdio Sitges DJ sessions begin. Musical performances start at 8.45 pm and dance shows at 9.30 pm. Later there will be large format concerts at the Auditori, the main stage for the event.
Music and dance performances get under way on 31 July with Intra-accions, a piece choreographed by Roger Bernad Paretas and Martina De Michelis Pallisea.
