The magic of Christmas comes to life in Sitges with a wide range of fun cultural activities
Sitges will kick off the 2025–2026 Christmas season with a lights switch-on featuring the tree in Cap de la Vila. With the theme “Christmas in Sitges, magically yours”, Sitges City Council is inviting everyone to enjoy the magic of this time of year, especially the little things that make it so special.
This year’s programme of cultural and festive activities seeks to keep traditions alive, support local businesses and encourage responsible shopping. Highlights include children’s activities, concerts, plays, Nativity scenes, quinto bingo and the traditional Three Kings Parade. The Councillor’s Office for Culture is coordinating the events, organised by City Council and local associations that are once again getting into the spirit of the season. Don’t miss the carol concerts, storytelling sessions, plays (including the Catalan Christmas classic Els Pastorets) and children’s workshops.
The Councillor’s Office for Children and Youth, the Councillor’s Office for Traditions and Celebrations, and the Three Kings Committee are also hosting activities, including “Fem cagar el Tió”, a festive morning featuring workshops, face-painting and giant versions of traditional games; an office where you can leave your letter to the Three Kings with royal postwoman Aisha; and of course, the eagerly awaited Three Kings Parade. There will also be a new edition of the Christmas Park at the Pavelló de Pins Vens, a holiday favourite among children and young people.

The Economic Promotion Department is also organising cercavila parades led by the Apocadixie music band in the shopping district and the municipal market, as well as Christmas-themed storytelling sessions. There will also be background music in the town centre and Poble Sec shopping districts to add more festive cheer.
A new activity this year, presented by the Corpus Christi Committee and City Council, is the Joc de les Festes de Sitges, a trivia board game about three beloved Sitges traditions: Carnival, Corpus Christi and the festa major, or main annual festival.
Another of the spots where part of the Christmas activities will be concentrated is the Port of Sitges, where this year visitors will be able to enjoy, among other initiatives, the Winter Market Sitges Christmas fair, which is celebrating its tenth edition in a new location.

Christmas decorations and atmosphere
The Christmas spirit will come to life in the heart of Sitges with the 10-foot Christmas tree, this year featuring a special display of over 16,000 LED lights.
There will also be 300 energy-efficient figures lighting up streets and avenues throughout the town, including Carrer Parellades, Carrer Jesús, Passeig de Vilafranca and Camí de la Fita, not to mention to the traditional lights in Cap de la Vila, on the City Hall façade, on the tree in the roundabout at Plaça de Catalunya and Camí de la Fita, and amidst the gift-shaped decorations in the roundabout at Avinguda Camí de Capellans and Passeig de Vilafranca. These decorations will be complemented by festive messages, images and ornaments at the entrances to the main shopping district, and background music throughout the town’s streets. The Christmas lights will be switched on at 5.30 every day until 6 January.
