PRESENTATION OF THE CORPUS FESTIVAL 2024

Presentation of the programme, the festival poster and the main protagonists.

• SATURDAY, 25TH OF MAY

SITGETAN FESTIVAL GAME DAY

A day open to everyone where the new board game about the Sitges festivities will be presented. The day will end with a final competition to choose the participant who shows who knows the most about the Sitges festivities.

• SUNDAY, 26TH MAY

ARTISTIC-FLORAL WORKSHOP: STAMP & TOAST

Activity of stamping with flowers, with a tasting of Gintònic de Corpus, based on gin distilled from flowers.

From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Place: Terraces of the Palau de Maricel

Activity with limited capacity. Tickets must be purchased at the Sitges Museums ticket offices or on their website.

INAUGURATION OF THE 84TH NATIONAL CARNATION EXHIBITION

Inauguration of the National Carnation Exhibition, with the participation of the historian and head of the Sitges Malvasia Interpretation Centre, Alba Gràcia. The exhibition will close with a glass of Malvasia and a visit to the exhibition to enjoy the participating carnations.

OPENING OF THE 84TH NATIONAL CARNATION EXHIBITION

At 10:30 a.m.

It will be open from 01 June to 09 June from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., except on Sunday 02 June, Corpus Christi Day, when it will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. .

CHILDREN'S WORKSHOP, CORPUS FANS

We will paint several fans that were given away in the old days for the Corpus Christi procession.
Free activity, no booking is necessary.

Gegants de la Vila, Gegants Americanos and Gegants Moros.

EVENING MASS OF THE VIGIL

After the celebration, transfer and solemn exposition of the Blessed Sacrament to its chapel. Prayer vigil at the Eucharist.

FLOWERS, TRADITION AND FESTIVITY, GUIDED VISIT TO THE CARPETS AND OTHER CORPUS SPACES

By AGIS Sitges Guides. After the visit, possibility of joining in the making of a flower carpet.

Departure from the door of the gardens of the Societat Recreativa el Retiro along Carrer d'Àngel Vidal.

BEGINNING OF THE PAINTING OF THE CARPET DESIGNS IN THE STREETS OF THE VILLAGE AND CUTTING OF THE KEYS

The artists of each carpet paint the design on the ground. At the same time the flowers are cut and prepared to make the carpet, participation is open to everyone.

From 10 p.m. onwards

MAKING OF FLOWER CARPETS IN SEVERAL STREETS OF THE TOWN

Participation open to everyone.

From early morning until midday.

CHOCOLATE AND CHILDREN'S ACTIVITY: SUPER BUBBLES

Once the carpets are finished, there will be a chocolate party for all the children who have taken part in making them. There will also be the Super Bubbles activity, creating giant soap bubbles.

SOLEMNITY OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST (CORPUS CHRISTI)

Celebration of the Eucharist on Corpus Christi Day.

At 9 a.m., at 11 a.m. (in Spanish) and 12 p.m.

Place: Parròquia de Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla

After the nine o'clock mass, solemn exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, transfer to its chapel where it will remain exposed until before the midday mass.

EXHIBITION OF THE 8TH CORPUS PHOTO COMPETITION ON INSTAGRAM

Exhibition dates: From 7 to 30 June.

Prizes will be awarded at the closing ceremony of Corpus 2024.

• SATURDAY, 8TH OF JUNE

VISIT OF THE JURY OF THE 44TH COMPETITION OF FAÇADES, BALCONIES AND WINDOWS

Through the streets of the centre of Sitges the jury, accompanied by the music of the Apocadixie, will visit the participating façades, balconies and windows to make their assessment. The verdict will be announced at the closing ceremony of Corpus 2024.

OFFICIAL PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY AND CLOSING CEREMONY OF CORPUS 2024

Once the closing ceremony is over, we will gather at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Vinyet to make the traditional collective offering of carnations to the Virgin. The train will take us to the Vinyet, enjoying the music of the Apocadixie.
