The Sitges Antic Jazz Festival reinvents itself with a change of format and controlled seating capacity
This year's edition of the Jazz Antic de Sitges Festival will be programming school auditions and very special concerts like the farewell to stage performances by La Locomotora Negra at the Prado Theater, the historic traditional jazz group from Catalonia, or the performance by Los Nuevos Íberos del Jazz at the El Retiro Recreational Society's theater-hall as a tribute to the Bands that kept Sitges dancing for many decades.
The Festival de Jazz Antic Sitges will feature some of the best Manouche jazz musicians from the international circuit, such as guitarists, violinists and double bass players, as well as several guest wind instrumentalists.
Sunday, April 11 will bring this musical event to a close in the gardens of the El Retiro Recreational Society with a concert by the Sitges Big Band, which will be dedicated to the legendary Count Basie.
