The 62nd edition of the Wine Harvest Festival brings together tradition and wines

La Fragata will host the 16th Wine Tasting Experience, which will allow visitors to taste the products of more than fifteen exhibitors.

After Santa Tecla, Sitges' festive calendar will be celebrating the 62nd Grape Harvest Festival and the 16th Wine Tasting Experience from 29 September to 1 October. More than fifteen wineries will be taking part in this fair, which aims to showcase the wine production of the Garraf and Penedès regions, starting this Friday at the Fragata.

The Grape Harvest Proclamation will kick off the traditional festival this Saturday, 30 September, at 7.30 pm at the Racó de la Calma. This year the historian and coordinator of the Sitges Malvasia Interpretation Centre, Alba Gràcia, will be the Harvest Proclaimer.

The programme will continue on Sunday 1 October with other traditional events such as the pressing of the first must, which is offered in the church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla, and the 44th Grape Stompers Competition, with a large number of groups from local entities taking part. The weighing of the Pubilla and Hereu de Sitges with its equivalent in bottles of wine, and the singing of havaneres by the Xató Group and "cremat" with brandy, will bring the Grape Harvest Festival 2023 to a close.

The event is organised by the local entity Foment de Sitges and has the collaboration of the Sitges Town Council Tourism Department and the sponsorship of Bodegas Familia Torres.
