The 12th edition of the Sitges Gay Pride foresees the arrival of 40,000 people in the town to enjoy the events organized between the 14th and the 18th of June, under the name of "Sitges Pride, Pride on the Platja d'Europa" . According to a report from the Cabinet of Social Studies and Public Opinion, the visitor to Sitges Pride spends an average of €257, almost 50% more than in other
events that Sitges hosts. The main countries from which visitors came to the 2019 Sitges Pride were Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, the United States, Italy and Sweden. This variety means that the event positions Sitges among the best places when it comes to promoting itself as a destination for LGTBIQ+ tourism.
Sitges Pride also continues its relationship with the SVS - Acció en Blau entity,
Social Volunteers of Sitges, and their project to support asylum seekers
international, "We Bridge to Europe". After the success of his program
Latin American, “Puente Arco Iris” to build bridges for LGBTIQ+ people to a safe haven as refugees in Europe, a new similar project is now being launched for people persecuted for their sexual orientation in Africa, Asia or even and all because of homophobic European governments.
