40,000 people are expected at Sitges Pride from June 14 to 18
The 12th edition of the Sitges Gay Pride foresees the arrival of 40,000 people in the town to enjoy the events organized between the 14th and the 18th of June, under the name of "Sitges Pride, Pride on the Platja d'Europa" . More than 40 free events on the Passeig Marítim of Sitges will focus the programming, with an important musical component and the big party of the main parade on Sunday 18 June at 5pm on the Passeig Marítim.
According to a report from the Cabinet of Social Studies and Public Opinion, the visitor to Sitges Pride spends an average of €257, almost 50% more than in other
events that Sitges hosts. The main countries from which visitors came to the 2019 Sitges Pride were Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, the United States, Italy and Sweden. This variety means that the event positions Sitges among the best places when it comes to promoting itself as a destination for LGTBIQ+ tourism.
