This All Saints’ Day, the Centre d’Interpretació de la Malvasia (CIM) will be illuminated by candlelight, offering a unique sensory and cultural experience. We invite you to Between Souls and Malvasia Wines, a gastronomic prelude to Castanyada, where history, myth and sweetness come together in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
This event offers an exceptional opportunity to taste five international sweet Malvasia wines from regions with a deep-rooted tradition of cultivating this grape variety and commemorating the dead —the Canary Islands, Madeira, Greece and Italy—, culminating in our great heritage gem: the Sweet Malvasia of Sitges from Celler de l’Hospital.
Each wine will be specially paired with five varieties of artisan panellets made by Forns Enrich, crafted to harmonise perfectly with the aromas and nuances of each Malvasia. Through this journey of flavours, we will discover how different cultures have celebrated autumn and remembered those who are no longer with us —from the Celtic Samhain and the Canary Islands’ Finaos to Portugal’s Pão-per-Deus and our beloved Castanyada.
